Vitralis Biotech was founded in 2019 in Port Halloway by Dr. Maren Okonkwo-Lindqvist and Dr. Caspian Ferreira-Nakamura. The name comes from vitrum — glass — a nod to the transparent, inspectable biology we aim to build.
What we do
We combine machine-learned protein models, automated wet labs and continuous bioprocessing into one design–build–test loop. A design proposed on Monday can be expressed, measured and fed back into the model by Friday.
How we work
- Specify first. Every programme starts with a measurable target, not a molecule.
- Close the loop. Data from every experiment retrains our models.
- Safe by design. Biocontainment and cybersecurity are engineering requirements, not afterthoughts.
